· Avoid shaking hands with others
· Masks/face coverings recommended inside the museum, on the
tour van, and any time within 6 feet of other visitors. Masks can be
removed upon reaching the outdoor hiking trail in order to safely see
and navigate the rocky and steep terrain of the hiking trail.
Casa Malpais, located near Springerville Arizona, is the premiere archaeological site in the White Mountains of Arizona. This unique site features an astronomical calendar, a great kiva, ancient stairways and rock art from the Mogollon culture. The Museum features artifacts from Casa Malpais and a video introduction by Hopi and Zuni elders. Don't miss our interactive artifact guide!

Casa Malpais Guided Site Tours: Tuesday-Saturday from March to mid-November
(weather permitting)
Tour Times: 9 AM & 1 PM (weather permitting)
Arrive 30 minutes early for check-in and introductory video
Tour Prices: $10 Adults/Teens (ages 13-59), $8 Seniors (60 & up), $5 children (ages 4-12)
Gift Certificates available: $20 each (good for 2 adults/teens or 1 adult & 2 children)

This is a guided tour, approximately 3/4 mile hike that goes up 150 feet in
elevation and includes some steep, rocky sections. Good hiking shoes
required (no open-toe shoes permitted). Bring water/hats/sunscreen, as
temperatures can be extreme. The tour takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours.
Sorry, no pets permitted inside the museum or at the Casa Malpais site.
Visit the Museum Gift Shop for unique Southwestern gifts, books and souvenirs.
Museum and site tours are closed on Sundays & Mondays and some holidays.
